Where is your office located?
How long is a typical session?
Do you take insurance?
What is your hourly fee?
Why should I pay for therapy?
I believe you are worth it. You can think of therapy similarly to how one would think of preventative medicine. Taking care of yourself mentally and emotionally is an investment in yourself and your future.
Emotional health affects everything from your relationships to your physical health.
What type of therapy do you do?
I consider myself a process-oriented therapist who believes in the body/mind/spirit connection.
Helping clients achieve self-acceptance and self-compassion is one of the foundations of my work. I also highly value staying in the present moment and working with whatever shows up in our sessions while also delving into underlying motivations and unconscious patterns.
With whom do you work best?
Are you LGBTQIA friendly?
Are you going to make me do homework?
I’m not going to make you do anything. I usually encourage my clients to practice self-care or think about something we’ve discussed or are working on.
I might suggest a book to read or podcast to listen to. There is no expectation that you do it though.
